Bathroom Etiquette

I have been out of the blogging game for a little while, and thought I might ease my way in with something I just noticed in the men’s restroom here at work. Here is my question:

If you are in the bathroom, are you good to go to let one rip? I typically am not shy about it while at the toilet, but think it might be a different ballgame when you are washing your hands next to your boss on the way out. I’ve notices some colleagues go with the policy of once they pass that invisible plane that is the bathroom door that they are in the clear. I would think that in a professional atmosphere, bathroom or not, if you are farting I don’t want to be able to make eye contact with you during the act.
